TIMID KOOKY

timid kooky is a Lithuanian proto-punk band-trio, lost in the realm of happy hardcore and thrash metal, thriving in the way of heavy riffage, power drums and three vocal harmonies.

A WORD FROM THE BAND: We embarked on an everlasting journey to find the ultimate groove long ago and we have been crafting riff after riff with a missionary zeal ever since. We share our progress with fellow researchers like yourselves and hope that our humble work can contribute to the cause.

Since 2017 the band has won multiple awards as an up-and-coming band in the Baltics, toured all over Europe, including music festivals like Eurosonic (Groningen), Liverpool Soundcity (Liverpool), Monkey Week (Seville), INmusic festival (Zagreb), Juwenalia (Warsaw) and Enea Spring Break (Poznan). With two vinyl LPs (“Tanzen” and “Volcano Dragon”) and one EP (“Baby Be My Spiderman”) under their wing, timid kooky are on their way to your home town to deliver you the juiciest riffage ball straight to your heart and stomach.

KANALIZACIJA

You cannot expect the usual from the band where tuba holds the bass. The wild and ironic 4-piece band broadcasts the whole spectrum of... sewerage, as their title suggest in Lithuanian. Sometimes erupting like heavy metal or furious punk, sometimes dissolving into monotonic krautrock jam, sometimes singing catchy slick choruses in the best boyband's traditions. But always spinning in experimental and unexpected free jazz madness. Kanalizacija flush down the bad leaving you blushing with relief.
Formed in 2019 by well-educated and already experienced musicians, Kanalizacija went through all local jazz festivals, toured extensively in the former eastern bloc and soon got famous for breaking purebred jazz standards. With each album, Kanalizacija (2021) and the latest Hi (2023), they're opening new horizons. Anything goes if it’s grooving.
